Drone photo illustrating: Drone Deliverables Explained

Drone Deliverables Explained

Orthomosaics, point clouds, thermal reports and more — what each deliverable is and when you need it.

Photos and video

Edited stills and video for marketing, progress records or documentation. Ask about resolution (4K and above) and whether raw files are included.

Orthomosaic

A single, geometrically corrected map image stitched from hundreds of photos. Measurable and usable in GIS or CAD.

Point cloud and 3D model

Millions of 3D points (from photogrammetry or LiDAR) used for surfaces, volumes, as-builts and digital twins.

Topographic surface and contours

A digital terrain model with contour lines for design and earthworks. Typically delivered as CAD or LandXML.

Thermal and inspection reports

Annotated images showing defects, hotspots or damage, usually with severity ratings and locations.

Crop health maps

NDVI and other vegetation indices from multispectral sensors, used to target scouting, fertiliser or spraying.
